1. UNITE Church
Established in 2017.
Unite Church was founded out of a calling from God to unite the people of Pasadena with God and each other. In 2014, Senior Pastor Jeff Snodgrass felt a tug on his heart to do something he “would never do”: plant a church. Over the next few years, he began to take the necessary steps and God began to pave the way to one of the most diverse cities in the United States, Pasadena, CA. In 2015, Jeff asked God to provide him with a worship pastor and Ashley Beckford showed up. Jeff and his wife Julie, along with Ashley and her husband Lance, decided to take a bold step of faith.
The statistics were discouraging: 1 in 2 church plants fail. But taking the risk was worth it if they could win at least one for Christ. They left the comfort of their jobs and their community to follow the calling that God had placed on their lives. In April 2016, Unite Church had its first core team meeting. They prayed. They worshiped. And they asked God to go before them. What followed has been an incredible journey of God’s faithfulness.

6. THE CHAPEL at Pasadena
THE PASADENA CHAPEL.
A CHURCH FOR THE WANDERING SOUL.
THE CHAPEL church began on October 10, 2010, with seven people and the name “Prism Church.” From the beginning we were driven by the cultural reality that there were an increasing number of people in our area who would be classified as those who “used to go to church.” That number has only increased in the last decade.
Our ambition has always been to be a community of Christ-followers who knew and enjoyed the grace of Jesus, joyfully shared that good news with friends and family, and then collectively represented the Lord in our world. Therefore, our mission from the beginning has been to REVIVE BELIEVERS, REACH FRIENDS, and REFLECT CHRIST.
While our long-term mission efforts include planting churches in Los Angeles and around the world, we have begun serving as missionaries right here at home.
In 2014, we purchased Rose Chapel, a Pasadena landmark that has served for eight decades as a venue for countless weddings. Since our facility was known as the Chapel of the Roses, a place that served our community well, our leadership decided to change the name of our church to THE CHAPEL in Pasadena.
“WE HAVE SEEN HIS GLORY, THE GLORY OF THE ONLY SON, WHO CAME FROM THE FATHER, FULL OF GRACE AND TRUTH.”
