3. Prince of Peace Lutheran Church
OUR MISSION
And Jesus came near and said to them, “To me has been given all power in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And behold, I will be with you always, to the end of the world.”
VISION: THE WHY
The Vision of the universal Church of Jesus Christ and, therefore, of our community of faith, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church (POPLC), remains the same as stated in Matthew 28:
And Jesus came near and said to them, “To me has been given all power in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and MAKE disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And behold, I will be with you always, to the end of the world.”
The Church of Jesus Christ has a universal Vision and is accepted not when people can quote Matthew 28 but when they personally begin to live the call of Jesus.
Simply put, we are disciples seeking to make disciples!
VALUES: THE HOW
What differentiates one church from another is not the Vision but its approach to the Vision. In other words, all Christian churches have the same WHY. The difference is HOW each church body carries out the Vision.

5. St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church
In 2000, the parish decided to look even further into the future and began planning to build a larger, more permanent sanctuary. After meeting diocesan contribution requirements, we broke ground in May 2002. Our new sanctuary was completed and dedicated on November 16, 2003 by Bishop Joseph Delaney.
Our sanctuary is the most important place for our spiritual life, and the Assisi Hall has become the social center of our Community. Several weekends throughout the year, the Community gathers after Mass in Assisi Hall to socialize over coffee and pancake breakfasts provided by the Knights of Columbus, and several ministries use it for meetings and other activities.
In July 2004, Fr. Mathew Kavipurayidam, T.O.R. He was appointed parish priest. After serving the parish for two years, he initiated a parish renewal process and formed a new leadership structure comprised of Worship, Community Life, Administration, Formation and Outreach Commissions. The Pastoral Council was also formed from the members of the Commissions. The new leadership presented a vision plan to expand the existing facilities to meet the needs of parishioners. The current “Share Our Gifts, Build Our Community” capital campaign aims to make this vision plan a reality.

6. The Branch Church – Vista Ridge
In December 2000, Brother Eddy graciously passed the torch to Chris Seidman, who accepted the call to move here with his wife, Tara. In our church’s 100th year of existence, 2005, our leadership discerned that it was time to adopt a “multi-site” approach as we carried out our mission.
This was an aggressive strategy, born of prayer and motivated by a deep desire to help thousands of people become disciples of Jesus Christ. The vision has been confirmed many times since then, culminating with the purchase of the Vista Ridge property in May 2007. On September 9, 2007, we began simultaneous services in both Farmers Branch and Vista Ridge.
In the years after launching the Vista Ridge campus, we learned how to be a multi-location church. Each campus flourished into a vibrant community of faith, with a unique personality and role in the surrounding area. At the end of 2013, we completely paid off the debt associated with the Vista Ridge property and became debt free as a church.

Visiting a church can be scary…
what should i wear / Will I get a seat? / Will people talk to me? / Is there anything for my children?
Perhaps you are returning to church or coming to church for the first time. You may feel like people are watching you or maybe people are judging you. “Will the preacher condemn me from the stage?” “Will people judge me if I look different from them?”
A few tips to help you while visiting the Heartland:
We do everything we can to make your visit to Heartland a pleasant one. We know that finding a new church can be difficult to understand, just like you are.
Feel free to come casual or dressy. We have no dress code; Anything that makes you feel comfortable is best with us.
Sit wherever you want, there are no assigned seats.
Be careful with friendly people: someone will talk to you.
The messages are designed to be life-relevant and spiritually inclusive. Maybe you’ll learn something!
